It’s not long now till all anyone can think or talk about is Christmas. The despair of searching stores and online shops for hours trying to find the perfect present for your loved ones, the strain of trying to pick out something cheap but not too cheap for secret santa’s and the joy when your search is over. The stress begins again with getting the wrapping paper and trying to create the perfect look you see of the beautiful boxes under the Christmas tree on adverts. And through all this you’ll be hearing the same old Christmas songs playing over again and again in shops, at homes and on the radio. But in the end we do this every year for the joy of Christmas day. So many happy memories made on just one day every year. I personally have very fond memories, most Christmas’ of mine always involve someone spilling a drink, breaking a glass, mouth watering food (oh the gammon!), pre-breakfast bucks fizz, Xmas quizzes, mu playing the piano whilst we sing along, the tree decorated (with a lot of birds, thanks to me) it’s lights sparkling, the opening of presents, the smiling faces, the jokes and laughs, a walk through the countryside before the meal (sometimes in the snow) and just the lovely aura of being with your loved ones.
Yes Christmas is a joyful time in the end if you put the effort in, and no matter whether your reasons for celebrating it are religious, just because you do or because you believe it brings out the best in people I hope everyone has a good Christmas this year where ever in the world you are celebrating it. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, good luck shopping!
